Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is the kind of RPG I didn't expect to like on a phone, but the turn-based combat is tuned perfectly for touch. You tap abilities, drag targets, and the fights move fast enough to fit in a lunch break without feeling rushed.

The writing carries it. Your party of four grumbling adventurers actually talk to each other between battles, and there's real warmth under the jokes. Progression is generous, so you rarely hit a wall that forces you to grind.

If you want a story you can chip away at over a couple of weeks, this is an easy recommendation. Just be ready to lose an hour more than you planned.
